workshops

Picture
These are one-time only events that focus on a specific theme or idea related to our work. Most of these workshops we have taught in national and international conferences and festivals.

Listening, Touch and Kinesthetics
We speak about the art of listening and its complexity - sonically and kinesthetically. We explore how the arts, improvisation and collaborative play can helps us to develop the capacities to listen in artistic, educational and therapeutic environments.
The Arts in Education and Social Transformation
The arts can develop our capacity to live life to the fullest. They expand our sensory perception, invite us out of our comfort zone, compelling us to generate empathy, compassion and creativity in our relationships. Through experiential exercises we give examples of how the arts (specifically dance and music) have an important role within the curricular formation and social change in formal and informal education.
Collaboration: building with what is given
In this workshop we focus in our capacity to collectively create through ideas from jazz music, group improvisation and Ensemble Thinking. These techniques create a fundamental base to foster collaboration given that they distribute power horizontaly, creating colective action with out a hirerarchical structure. These systems teach participants how to act in public forums and invest in their success - developing towards collectivity while maintaining their individual worth.
